Artist Masking Fluid (30ml)

Ideal for fine details, this artist-quality masking fluid from Daniel Smith comes complete with 5 additional fine-point applicator tips. Applying in an off-white tone that dries to a transparent caramel colour, protect your surface from watercolour washes with an impervious barrier that remains visible without becoming intrusive. Once dry, this can be rubbed off with your fingers or a rubber silicone applicator ( such as this set from Pro Arte ). Instructions No need to shake as the latex mixture does not easily separate, instead, gently roll the bottle once or twice across a table instead. Gently squeeze the bottle to start the flow & release a bead of fluid. Move the bottle across your surface & allow the capillary action to draw out the fluid as you outline and fill in the desired space. Between applications, aid the flow & prevent bubbles forming by storing the bottle upside down in a small glass. Be sure to replace the snap-top lid when you're finished with your work. Prevent clumping or clogging by thoroughly rinsing the applicator tip immediately after use (pro tip: save & fill your empty bottle with water to flush the tips in future). Dried fluid can be peeled from inside applicator tips or removed by using a fine needle. Be sure to allow the masking fluid to dry fully before painting over it. Also allow surrounding paint to dry before removing your barrier.
