This set of etching needles from ABIG includes 3 assorted types for a myriad of techniques & styles. With a variety of 3 tips, this selection allows you to produce incredibly detailed prints by etching (or scratching) patterns, shapes & designs into the surface of a metal or acrylic plastic plate. The ink then collects into the engraved areas of the surface for a deeply detailed result. Fine Point: 1.5 x 45mm Heavy Point: 2.0 x 60mm Angle Point: 2.0 x 60mm Producing an etched print: Scratch an image or design into the surface of a plate Apply colour by rolling ink onto the etched surface Wipe the surface, ensuring only the ink is collected in the scratched areas Carefully place your paper directly on top of the inked sheet Apply pressure (preferably using a press) & lift the paper Voila, an etched print!
