Oil Ground

Available in two sizes, the Oil Ground range from Gamblin offers a strong, bright and non-absorbent foundation for oil paintings. Formulated from alkyd resin (for faster drying), titanium dioxide (for opacity) and calcium carbonate (for strong adhesion), these quick drying artists' primers dry faster & offer more flexibility than more traditional options. Their higher pigment load not only increases their overall opacity, but makes them both markedly thicker and less absorbent than an acrylic gesso, ensuring paint layers retain their colour saturation.
