Description
Allen & Heath Qu-5 takes the ever-popular Qu-16 form factor and adds Allen & Heath’s powerful XCVI processing, new FX engines and Everything I/O connectivity. There’s also a larger capacitive touchscreen, channel strip displays, customisable layers and extra SoftKeys. The Qu-5 is a rack mountable, 32 input channel, 96kHz digital audio mixer, combining high performance audio processing and professional features with ease of use and hands-on control. The Qu-5 is a multi-purpose mixer suitable for live music/band use, AV and install, studio and broadcast. Workflow and UI have been designed to make operation easy for inexperienced users or volunteers, provide familiarity to those transitioning from analogue mixing and give quick access to more advanced features for the experienced engineer. All New Hardware. The new Allen & Heath Qu retains the much-loved appearance and form factor of the original Qu series, but with multiple hardware improvements to elevate the sonic performance and mixing experience. Audio Updated microphone preamps and high-performance 96kHz AD/DA converters combine to deliver pristine audio to and from the XCVI core, preserving every detail of the source. Control Every channel now features a channel display – showing channel name, channel type, or socket number – and a chromatic channel meter for at-a-glance level information, and the new touchscreen accommodates a completely redesigned user interface. Reliable Recording and Playback. Anywhere. Every new Allen & Heath Qu model is packed with versatile recording and playback options, with an integrated 32×32 USB-C audio interface, 32-channel multitrack support via SD card, and simple stereo recording and playback through the USB-A port, whatever your application. Updated Workflow The original Qu series was well loved for its ease and speed of use, making it the perfect mixer for engineers coming from the analogue world. The new Qu takes this further, maintaining a focus on “walk up and mix” usability while adding 4 fully customisable layers, more assignable SoftKeys for workflow optimisation, and flexible routing options in addition to the classic 1:1 Qu routing, all accessible via a newly developed, fast and responsive, user interface. SLink - Everything I/O Compatible Thanks to its SLink port, Qu can be connected to the Everything I/O family of rack and stage box expanders making it a flexible, mix ‘n’ match solution for owners of other Allen & Heath digital systems. It can even be connected directly to other Allen & Heath consoles with up to 128×128 channels of 96kHz audio available for patching. DEEP Processing. Assistive Tools. Allen & Heath Qu is now DEEP Processing ready, bringing acclaimed add-ons from our flagship dLive system to the Qu platform for the first time. In addition, Qu now features the Feedback and Gain Assistants from the CQ series to take the stress out of setup and speed up your soundchecks. Gain Assistant - Faster Setups Adjusting the gain for each channel might not be the most thrilling task, and it can take up a lot of your setup time when you have multiple channels to manage. Qu’s Gain Assistant streamlines this process by quickly and precisely setting the ideal gain level for one or more input channels, while continuously monitoring levels during the performance to avoid any unwanted peaks or surprises. Feedback Assistant - Say Goodbye to Feedback Qu’s easy to use Feedback Assistant automatically identifies and removes problematic frequencies with up to 16 filters per output, allowing you to mix with confidence and put feedback worries behind you. Add-Ons - Take Your Mix to the Next Level Proven on countless world-tours with international artists, DEEP Processing and RackExtra FX from our award-winning dLive digital mixing system are now available within your Qu. AMM - Automatic Mic Mixer Qu’s 32 channel Automatic Mic Mixer (AMM) makes it the perfect choice for mixing conferences, panel talks, and TV shows. It’s fully integrated in the mixer, with no extra latency, so you don’t need to route the audio to an internal DSP rack or external plugin system. Remote Apps The new Qu series is compatible with Qu-MixPad and Qu4You apps. Qu-Mixpad is compatible with iPadOS 14.0 or later, visionOS 1.0 or later, and Android devices running Android 6.0 and up. Windows and Mac apps are coming soon. Qu4You is compatible with iOS 14.0 or later, iPadOS 14.0 or later, macOS 11.0 or later (M1 chip or later only), visionOS 1.0 or later, and Android devices running Android 6.0 and up. Qu-MixPad Whether you’re fine-tuning monitors side of stage or walking the venue during soundcheck, Qu MixPad provides independent and simultaneous control of your Qu mixer from a tablet. Mix Anywhere Qu MixPad gives you the freedom to mix from anywhere in the venue, even if that’s not physically close to the mixer’s location. Faster Monitors Qu MixPad makes it easy to setup monitor mixes on stage with the performers, ensuring everyone is hearing exactly what they need. Extra Control Qu MixPad can be used to add additional control at the mixing position, for example to display RTA, meters, FX parameters or channel processing. Double Up With support for two instances of Qu MixPad plus the console itself, you get up to three mixing points, perfect for flexible workflows and fast, responsive mixing in any scenario. Qu4You Qu4You is a free personal mixing app, enabling performers to control their own monitor mix from their Android or iOS devices and freeing the audio engineer to focus on the front-of-house sound. Give Musicians Control Qu4You allows musicians to craft their personal monitor mix leaving the engineer to focus on the all-important FOH sound. For the Whole Band Up to 8 musicians can use Qu4You simultaneously so everyone in the band can benefit, from the vocalist to the drummer. Android + iOS Versions Qu4You is compatible with most Android and iOS devices with simple installation and setup. For All Abilities Controls range from a simple 4-wheel interface to control key levels through to full control of EQ and compression on the aux mix. And, if the musician makes a mess of things, the engineer can easily take over.
