Here’s a secretive Islay single malt from independent bottlers, Hunter Laing. Meaning ‘rocky place’ in Old Norse, Scarabus is a peated Scotch from an unnamed distillery on the island. It was initially produced for Fèis Ìle 2019, Islay’s principal whisky festival, and carries wonderful notes of orchard fruits, vanilla nd bonfire smoke.
