Lochlea Distillery, situated in the heart of Ayrshire, Scotland, is a name synonymous with tradition, quality, and innovation. With roots deeply intertwined with the legacy of Scottish agriculture, Lochlea was once a working farm where Robert Burns himself farmed the land. This historic site has now been transformed into a whisky distillery in 2018, producing exceptional single malt whiskies that reflect both the heritage and the land’s rich character. This expression celebrates the culmination of the harvest, embodying the vibrancy and warmth of the season through its rich, complex flavour profile. Crafted with this in mind, this whisky has undergone maturation starting with refill bourbon barrels before finishing in port hogsheads, and an oloroso sherry butt. The result is a whisky that offers a fresh perspective on the sweet, sun-drenched flavours that have defined the Harvest trilogy. Now, with an additional year of maturation, this edition brings an added layer of depth, showcasing rich dessert notes with a refined finish.
