Nestled on the south coast, Salcombe Distilling Co. has crafted its own distinctive white spiced rum to sit proudly alongside its acclaimed range of gins. Whitestrand is produced from molasses, unrefined sugar and a carefully selected blend of yeasts, then double-distilled in 60-litre, hand-beaten copper pot stills. During its second distillation, a curated selection of botanicals including lime, coconut and long pepper is introduced, layering the spirit with aromatic complexity. Inspired by the historic Salcombe fruiters, who would return from the West Indies with rum, molasses and sugar alongside their cargos of fruit and spice, this is a vibrant, fruit-led expression.
