Blue Horizons Small Chlorine Tablets (20g) will typically slowly erode over a period of 3 - 5 days, depending on the water flow rate over them. As they release chlorine relatively slowly (compared to chlorine granules) it may be necessary to shock dose or oxidise prior to their use to first establish chlorine levels more rapidly. Ideal free chlorine range: 3 – 5mg/l Maintain pH level within the ideal range of 7.2 – 7.6. If not in this range, adjust. These small chlorine tablets are designed for use with chlorine feeders or floating dispensers. As this product releases chlorine relatively slowly, it may be necessary to shock dose the hot tub prior to its use to establish a free chlorine level more rapidly. Application Instructions Commissioning freshly filled new hot tubs or ones left drained for a period of time: Following latest guidance, a commissioning dose of 50mg/l free chlorine maintained for a minimum of one hour is recommended. Floating Dispenser: Add tablet(s) to the (trichlor) floating dispenser and adjust the flow mechanism at the base of the dispenser to obtain the free chlorine range of 3 – 5mg/l. Alternatively, leave the flow setting on the dispenser, but vary the number of tablets inside. Note: The dispenser should be removed while the hot tub is in use. Chlorine Feeder: Add chlorine tablets to the dispenser and follow the instruction manual on flow regulation. Note: It is recommended that you periodically (e.g., weekly or after prolonged hot tub use) shock dose your hot tub with AquaSPArkle Spa Fusion, Spa Non Chlorine Shock or Spa Rapid Shock. Warning: Do not add tablets directly to a pool. Always dose via a dispenser/chlorine feeder.   It is recommended that you periodically (e.g., weekly/fortnightly) shock dose your pool using Blue Horizons Pool Fusion, Rapid Shock or Granular Shock This makes maintaining the sanitizer level in your spa very straightforward.
